Don’t you just need to reach further for the already out-of-reach gear lever now?

Hod did you make that happen? Does it still jut out at that weird angle?

Looks like a high beam switch.
the accelerator pedal is mostly hidden by the shifter

Yeah, you are right. I saw the side of the accelerator pedal and did a ninja edit.

Interesting! Alfa never fails to amaze me with their quirkiness. Sorry for the ninja edit, I was embarassed.

It’s directly connected so I was able to just cut most of the shaft out and re-weld it.
And yes

I made my own, but not because I was bored...
Got a spare stock WRX shift stick off of ebay for cheap, added in some rod between the pivot and ball, cut and rewelded the rod to give a different angle on the tall knob, and it works pretty well. Still a longer throw than an aftermarket short shifter, but it’s taller too.

Lovin’ the Alfa action
Alfa shifters have more longnecks than Budweiser beer
Nice fab, man. How’s it feel in action?

Bored, no. Annoyed? Yes. I used to drive a first generation Toyota Rav4 for work. 1st, 3rd, and especially 5th was a bit of a stretch, and I had to lean forward just enough that my back eventually got tired after a few hours. I added 7mm to the bottom of the shifter whilst leaning it back a few degrees, and removed the little ball and spring notch thingy that just make it harder to shift. Suddently it felt like any other normal Toyota.

It’s kind of a weird feeling just because of how different it is. I think I might make it little bit longer though.
